What you do is wrap and object in several layers of tape, when you cut it and tape it back up if you've done it properly it will retain it's shape!

It's perfect. this is awesome. Although it would've been smart to hhave the sculpture on a plain white or black background and lit up by some light source so there could've been more of it to see.

is it as delicate as it looks? I can't imagine a tape sculpture this large being very sturdy.

It's actually pretty solid! I have stepped on it more than it's fair share of times(It has spent a LOT of time on my floor lately! oops!). And some of the other things I have made around the similar size have actually felt more like casts than like tape!
