Oh dear, those feathers need a wash! Beatrice in the snow, showing us her stripy tail. It used to be all black, once upon a time, but after it got infected in Germany and all the skin came off (don't ask ... it was disgusting), the hair had grown back white.

Poor thing on the tail nastie.
I expect the infection killed her pigment cells in the skin, making the hair default to white without colour markers. (same as freezemarking, kills colour cells to make white hair)
Could always brush in some boot polish to hide it at shows, LOL!
