So, I decided it may be in my best interest to make a Mew character. At the very least, in-game lore states that Mew's gimmick, effectively, is transforming. It perfected the art of transformation and could become anything it wanted in order to hide itself from prying eyes. Theoretically, there could be thousands of Mew living in the Pokemon world disguised as other Pokemon, but as of right now there's no way to find out.
I figured this might be good for me, since I could never seem to keep a design straight, and I never really FEEL like just one species, you know? I seem to "feel" like different things at different times, fluctuating with my mood, my interests, what I'm doing at the time. It changes. So maybe, as much as I hate it because it still feels like a cop-out to me, I need to be a thing that shapeshifts... So I thought Mew.
My only issue with this, is that I wonder if it would be considered pretentious. Mew is not just a Legendary Pokemon, it's mythically rare. Is it thinking too highly of myself to try to be one? Would it be considered too self-centered? I don't want it to be. I thought about trying a Ditto, but I've never been a fan of slime creatures (I mean really, how do they not get full of sand or dirt or random bits of trash on the ground, they'd end up more like Muk after a while...) and Mew is cute and fuzzy and it can fly. It eliminates the need for shoes ever. I hate shoes.
So I dunno. I guess enjoy? I'll be mulling it over out here for a bit. I'll let you guys know when I've reached a decision about it.
