Name: Zero (aka "mutt", "dog", any other nickname Hiro can come up with)
Age: 2-3 in dog years; about 17-18 in human years.
Gender: male.
Appearance: (animal form) black Labrador retriever, bright brown eyes, happy smile. Red nylon collar with a golden circular nametag. (human form) He retains his floppy black ears and slender tail but retains human features otherwise. Dark brown, straight, medium-length hair that frames his face and falls in his eyes a lot. Smirky expressions, usually wearing a half-grin. Average skin tone, good complexion, a little on the slender side from his time on the street, but defined musculature. Artwork coming soon.
Personality / Background: Zero has been given a reprieve from the big Last Walk by a college student named Cameron who is returning to his wealthy family for reasons still unknown to him. Cameron's chosen to bring Zero along for the ride. At the start of our tale, Cameron isn't aware that Zero isn't just an ordinary dog.
Zero is a carefree soul, and while he won't let on that he really did fear for his life before Cameron brought him home, secretly he feels that he owes the young man a lot. He doesn't understand an obsessive need for material things and gets greater joy from a romp outside than being lavished with attention. When he meets the pampered pet cat (also with a human form) that Cameron's family already houses in their lavish home, Zero has a hard time understanding him, but is no less intrigued -- much to Hiro's chagrin.

I think it's just one of those things that has to be handled carefully. :) Just drawing lips on guys usually turns out pretty scary-looking if you aren't careful. I learned where to put certain lines from Azelyn. :) Usually where it's turning away from direct view is the best place. I don't like the full-lip look in comic-y stuff. Looks weird.
