I've finally brought in my concept of Krang's mother, who is named Temre, For IDW and multiple varying ones of my own.

Temre was his predecessor as General, and she had been married to Quanin, Krang's father, for five years before giving birth to Krang; not because she didn't want children, but because it wouldn't have been good planning to start a family immediately, especially wit her position. When she did have her baby, she cut dialed back a lot on her duties as General, mostly keeping out of the battlefield. It was especially important while she was nursing.

It hindered her full ability to go to keep up her nighttime ritual; she has a compulsive journaling habit where she has to make an entry in multiple different types of journals (private, military, political, and a few others) before going to sleep, otherwise she can't get settled. So Quanin had to wait a little longer for her so he could sleep too.

Temre has an old burn scar from several years prior, from which she fell on an exhaust pipe during a rescue mission.
