Continuing my presentation for the first "Throwback Thursday" of April, 2016, I have another 'photo-op' - taken by my brother Glenn (with his smartphone camera) - from Sawgrass Recreational Park in the Everglades of south Florida...
A separate area of the park is devoted to rescued wildlife, including a number of big cats (e.g. Florida panthers, a caracal, a bobcat, etc.). In this picture, we find a serval taking a 'catnap' in the shade of his enclosure (on this sunny April 2nd)...
Like the Burmese python (mentioned in my previous 'photo-op'), some Floridians illegally kept servals as pets, when they really belong in the wilds (of Africa, where they come from).
I'll have another picture from Sawgrass Recreational Park shortly. (Right now, you can visit my 'Scraps' section to see other animal snapshots from the past.)
