This is so cute and sad, what inspired it?

Original plot line of zootopia and a lot of directly sentimental themes revolving around one scene from the plot

There was an original plot?! It sounds so sad from the look of this picture, where can I read about it?

I believe it was something along the lines that all predators had to wear shock collars so when they got mad, or got aggressive or anything deemed predatory it'd shock them.

Yeah the fusion doc does a good job, but ofc the plot was so expansive that it doesn't cover everything nor explain certain clips/images in the doc.

For context of this particular scene:

Nick gets hit by a car and he's taken to a doctor. Hopps has his collar removed after witnessing the heartbreaking collar receiving ceremony for Kozlov's son. (Kozlov being the antagonist at the time aka the crime boss polar bear you see in the doc ).

There is an early screen test of Nick in the hospital rubbing his collar-free neck. He has a black eye and his face is just so sad ughghg.


Hopefully, the Zootopia panel will be a go at BLFC for a more in depth talk about the original plot.
