Hey there! This week we have a what-if picture, since at the week of publication I was unable to write the next chapter for Maple's Story due to a combination of bad weather, technical and financial difficulties. Regularly scheduled posting has since resumed!
But for now, what if:
What if Syn had the ability to take control over Maple? Perhaps it was implemented as a safety feature, if the host were to be incapacitated an AI might be able to get them to safety.
In this case, Syn's motivations are anything BUT safety, rather the satiety of the host and the stimulation of their pleasure center is paramount.

Maple and the universe she lives in is amazing. I wished I lived there. I kinda wish I was like Maple. Because everybody still loves her despite her weight gain and desire for it. Hehe, I'm sorry. This story makes me feel a lot of things; that's how you tell it's so amazing and well-written. <3
I dunno, in the stories Maple gets made fun of more than she is accepted, really the only being that accepts and encourages her wg is her AI and that's for selfish reasons~
I guess the moral of the story is to find happiness within yourself, first and foremost, before seeking acceptance from others <3
