As promised, I'm not quite done with the Palamani Dominion. Here's another story, set just a few years after Roland's ascension. While the main cast doesn't play a prominent role, there's enough hints to how things have been going for the Dominion in the meantime. Enjoy!

I always do find it good when the Palamani get shown up a little. If anything it's a little disappointing that the protagonist always ends up joining the Dominion in some form or fashion. I'd almost like to see a story, just for the [censored] of it, where the protagonist stays smalls (comparatively), kicks Palamni rear end anyway, and then doesn't join the Dominion. I feel like a story would be fun (if a bit brutal).
I even have an idea of what I'd do if I wrote a story like that, but... well... *looks at the pile of either unstarted or half completed ideas* ... *cough* ...yeah.
Still, this is a good read. Thank you for sharing it, and thanks Amethysmus for commissioning it.

I got the impression that you were also trying to emulate the style of ancient epics.

I'll keep that in mind, though as I said... what I have in mind is rather on the brutal side. I enjoy all your writing, but your combat is rather G.
Tell you what, if I ever light my tail on fire and actually put pen to paper, I'll commission you for an ending. There just comes a point where I'm just not sure how to finish the tale without stepping on any toes.
