I think it's also something about the display itself. Not only is that a very human pose, but we look at posing for artwork differently too. Different expectations and a more specific filter on what the pose would pertain. In media, almost every such scene would be a nude pose, and even if they weren't, they probably would be the most memorable variation in terms of collective consciousness.
