This is The Baron from two Studio Ghibli films, "Whispers of the Heart" and "The Cat Returns." In the former, he appears as a small sculpture in a curiosity shop. I tried to emulate that sculpture as closely as possible, but approximately five pictures of him exist on the internet, and he looks different in all of them. Most of my reference material was tiny, grainy youtube clips from the movie.
I can't remember how big he is, but I'd say maybe around 8-9" tall if I had to guess. He's made of Super Sculpey, sculpting epoxy, and some random bits of plastic I found lying around, all over an armature made of wire and aluminum foil. The hair in his ears is fake fur and his whiskers are hairs from my cat. His eyes are highly reflective bits of glass that shine wildly when the light hits, and he's painted with acrylics. This is my first attempt at clothes ever, so they're kind of ...umm.

Oh gawd, I love the Baron!
I've always wondered what it would be like to use real kitty whiskers for a sculpture, but I've yet to try it... If you don't mind my asking, how did you go about that? Did you bake him with the whiskers already in the clay, or maybe poke holes into it and then glue them in after baking? Gawd, he just looks so amazing... Definitely more than fave-worthy.
