Iva was unwilling to waste the greatest tactical mind she could acquire. when she's not helping civilans Sal is actually the AI in charge of logistics and day to day management. Given this position of authority she takes great pride in making sure people all across the commonwealth are happy, healthy, and free to go about their daily lives. Her surveillance is nearly everywhere, but she takes great pride in emulating her hero, who is of course Sally Acorn. The woman whose neural map and robotized schematics she was built on.

She wants to be a hero, and to live up to the high standards she sets for herself. To the public, she is exactly that. The hand of a kind government that inspires patriotism in it's subjects and brings peace to the land. Behind closed doors she and her prototype have a loving relationship.
She's actually into BDSM, after being in complete control of everything, sometimes, she wants to be controlled. While she can't match her prototype's sheer pointless firepower she's faster, smarter, stronger, and has both blasters and holoblades.

Not that she shows that face to the public if she can help it.

Sal is equipped with a holographic tactile skin she prefers to wear at all times if possible.
Iva's Obsession with preventing her from being hacked, dominated, turned, or corrupted has resulted in more mental defenses than any other machine in her era, But it does slow down her processing speed. Forcing her to delegate tasks to other automated systems or local leaders.
She's good and she can be anywhere in the commonwealth, but she can't be EVERYWHERE.

She also has a bit of a rivalry with the head of Iva's Royal Guard, Null. Null does not respect her position and finds her too much of a politican, and Sal believes Null is a reckless blowhard who will hurt her mother one day.
But she's willing to be diplomatic and friendly about it...most of the time.
