Nothing can spoil a day at the beach quicker than malevolent marine life. Purple flags were out in force today. And me being me, I snapped some shots and then promptly managed to step on it. Luckily I just barely hit it with my little toe but it still hurt like the dickens! These guys were everywhere on the beach today, everywhere! The purple flags were actually justified for once. I've never seen so many of them washed up at one time. I actually felt badly for them, since many were still alive. It was really quite interesting to watch them try to move, but I couldn't think of a way to save them, so they just... died.
