Inspiration: Cyrolophosaurus ellioti and Cygnus buccinator
Specimens of Cryolophosaurus are known from the early Jurassic of Antarctica. Which, theories abound had a short warm season, and a long, sunless winter... while it had moderately temperate climates out on the coast, it was far more severe the more inland you went.
It's entirely plausible that either Cryolophosaurus hibernated like many prey items, or... was a fierce nocturnal hunter. much like a shark eating to keep up its energy, it hunted to keep up a healthy supply of fat to insulate and fuel it through the winter.
