I feel like the scanner needs some sort of fixing, its been really hard to get the right tone (even in PS after) this one is really nice on paper. I was really proud of the expressions and the foot cross pose because it seemed really natural. At first I was thinking of doing a Archie like iconic date, but it felt more natural that they would have some space between each other. It leaves the option open for what may have happened just moments before.
I intended at first sketching the bg to be one of those moments when a hang-out is clearly a date, in a date district/tourist area where everywhere they look there are couples XD

Usually I am really reserved about fan-art, only doing it if I like the art style or know the characters and could see it as cannon. I sort of deliberately do my own style though if it involves The Mouse. Fun Fact, my sister was offered an internship with them when she was in art school, she declined being all punk rock and against the man, they asked me a year later when I did a short program at the school. I just copied my sister, and mildly regretted it. Then that whole division was tanked anyways so eh :) But I take it pretty serious. The Mouse is terrifying about art, even if I have no worries since I'm not doing large scale stuff, I always try to make a wall between myself and fan art.
