goodness I am just so in love with your sculpting style. Each piece is just so breathtaking, and the colors on this are beyond fantastic ;_;

This is great... seeing your art I decided to try velvet clay myself, only to find out:
1) it is very hard to obtain in my country
2) it is quite unlike standard pottery clay that I am used to, I especially seem to be unable to make the tiny details, like feathers and horns, to jut out from the body surface seamlessly, how does that work? Do you just extend from the surface material or do you add another layer? Or do you combine multiple kinds of clay?
