living in a our Hollows and the cities inside them presents some limitations, when hunting in the outskirts of Hollows you cant really use a normal gun due to the reverberation, you can suppress a gun but that presents some issues itself
while some use conventional arms with moderators, the most common answer is subsonic pneumatic rifles, there are stock models of course but usually they're made more custom to the user barring premade components such as the valves and tank adapters and usually given a common calibre usually between 6 and 11mm, but even as high as 15 in the heaviest models analogous to guns used on charging animals

basically the local deer and such that ended up in our hollows, as well as the occasional bison sized rust-skinned giant lizard that tries to kill us to eat our augments because it feeds on metal thanks to symbiotic extremophile bacteria that digest heavy metals[which stems from heavy metal rich water down there]
