So over time I have been subtly repairing my car and giving it a new lease on life.
I have restored the headlights to their former glory, replaced the tires as they had no tread, fixed the broken drivers side seat, replaced the ugly gear knob and gator, the ash tray was replaced but I needed the cig lighter ring (little orange thing and clip I tossed the old lighter cylinder as it was gummy and gross, replaces the back ash tray with a new one and side covers that were missing, replaced the missing tray in the front, replaced the bubbled and scratched Mirror, and finally the glove box. Also painted the badge in the back.
This car was also very dirty and needed a deep clean so I rented a Rug Doctor and use the attachment cleaner and cleaned the inside of my car (including carpets) for 4 1/2 hours. I also wiped up all the plastic parts with cleaner and armor all.
[b]breaths[b/]
And now all thats left with this car is to clean it some more by vacuuming i, remove the cig smell from the AC, Windshield replacement, stereo and speakers, replace the drivers side door sensor as its broken or stuck in the on position, clean or replace the dooryard fabric, convert the windows from manual to electric via kit, and headliner as its sagging. Im also getting a mechanic to do my water pump and timing chain (this is just a me thing, I want this because I have no carfax for this car.
Sounds expensive yea? I haven't actually put that much into the car aside from getting the tires and glovebox. Everything else has been subtle.
Thought I would share my project with everyone. Its been fun and still have a little bit of a ways to go.

I used this: http://www.amazon.com/Meguiars-G300...../dp/B004HCOE72 There are two sanding disks you use, one side to side (the more corse one) and a finer disk for up and down, then you use a polishing agent and a sealer. I have to do them again since I missed a spot.
