Diagonal sandwiches are bigger!
Lunchtime at the Little Cubs Daycare, and Zee-Zee's not happy. "It's not fair! Prav's got bigger sandwiches than me!" he protested.
"No, Zee-Zee, they're exactly the same size, they're made with the same loaf of bread. It's just that we cut some of them diagonally and some of them horizontally, like this..." the caretaker explained, putting the two halves on each plate together to show the aggrieved little squirrel he hadn't been short-changed.
But Zee-Zee still wasn't convinced. ANYBODY can see that cutting a sandwich diagonally makes two much bigger halves than cutting it horizontally. And the clever little cub immediately ran to get a ruler and proved it!
So now the grown-ups are trying to decide whether it'd be easier to teach a Geometry For Toddlers class, or just make sure they always cut their bread into the same shape in future...

*scoffs* Well, I see myself not THAT much into Geometry, but I work hard in my Algebra and it's amazing that I accomplish my quizzes when I don't even see it coming!
Maybe it's because I could advance as a teen genius (other than building mechanical models of such things, which I really don't), but I just can't see why i'm so lazy all the time.

Heehee, thanks - I especially like the way Lig's amused smile came out. But yep, poor daycare fox, he thought his lunchtime duties would be limited to serving food, wiping sticky faces, dealing with whichever cub suddenly decides he hates jam sandwiches, mopping up spilled milk, all the usual stuff, he didn't expect to have to defend his sandwich-shaping methods...
Daycare Fox needs a name - I was going to draw Raikan but gave up after a couple of attempts to make him come out right and just substituted a generic grown-up.

Heehee, actually, I'm always a bit vague about Rob's species. He started out as a human, but I think he probably is a fox now. I don't think he looks like the fox in this pic, though... I really need to write a story with him, just to set out who and what he is! ^.^
I wasn't even in very big school when I learned it, so I'm sure any cub as clever as you could definitely do it too! You just gotta have books that don't make it all BORING like some do. I have a book somewhere around here that uses jellybeans to teach the first bits of algebra, so geometry can't be that far behind!
(seriously, here: http://isbndb.com/d/book/666_jellyb....._all_that.html I've had it since I was as little as I'd like to be again! )

Oh, Zoom. I can never get enough of your genuine clever-ness when it comes to matter of the toddler nature. You just have a way of always hitting the nail right on the head.
I'm so with Baby Augumon on this one. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. Your insight in matters is simply out-of-this-world!

*Warmly smiles* No problem, Zoom. We're all busy doing what we do. I still need to finish doing some reading of yours myself. *blush* I'm so slow and easily distracted. *Starts looking toward cute, baby Yoshi*
*Snaps back* Oh, as I was saying, Zoom. You do such amazing work that it doesn't surprise me that you are as good as a writer in the genre as you are. You're not only clever, but know how to put all that clever-ness to good use, too. Gabby-Gabby-Gaboo!
