I've been having really awful artblock lately, mostly just from stress... I feel like now that I'm going to be going to artschool, I'm going to have a lot more pressure on being a better artist and learning and just improving than I did when it was 'just a hobby'. My focus and creativity faltered under the stress and it's been a while since I've done anything more than doodles. Glad I could sit down tonight and work a little bit on something personal.
Just wanted to capture something alone, cold, and ethereal.

Lovely piece Salem :)
And don't you worry too much about art school. You're already a gifted and talented artist who we all love very much. <3

Very nice, I love the whole mood of the piece.
I wouldn't worry too much about artschool. You've already got diligence and passion nailed down. That alone is going to put you head and shoulders above most of the people there. Just keep in mind that what you get out of a program like arts is what you're going to put into it. Use this as an opportunity to move past your comfort zone whenever possible, meet great talented people who will challenge you to get even better. And if there's life drawing sessions, attend as many as you can manage. Personally I have a feeling that in your case it'll be as simple as to keep doing what you already love to do.
And try to resist the urge to overthink assignments. That's the one biggest mistake that everyone makes.
Good luck :)
