Dr. Herbert Klaus was an archaeologist who was convinced of the existence of an ancient civilization beneath the polar icecaps. Ridiculed by his colleagues, he set out on his search to prove to the world of his genius. After 10 years of maddening searching, he discovered an advanced ancient city, guarded by a multitude of silent colossus. Learning of its technology, Dr. Klaus revived the city and its steel guardians, forming the North Polian Empire.

Taking the name of "Winter Lord" Dr. Klaus, raises his army to conquer the world that spurned him.
