The mechanics of which pokemon can or cannot learn a move, after taking into account tricks with breeding, throwing them between games, and using move tutors...
They are so complex I've just given up.
But I definitively know a lot about Dark types :P
Practically a Dark-Type Trainer in a certain fanmade pokemon game, and the whole 'gimmick' of the type (other than some useful 'counters' to types and such) seems to be over-the-top brutality.
Fighting types hit you until you stop moving from sheer physical damage, Dark types hit you until you're too busy screaming in agony to move.
'Bite' being one of, possibly THE, iconic Dark physical moves; The 'benefit' over similar moves with more PP is the Flinch chance, so while it doesn't actually do more damage, it's apparently more painful.
