I blame
kyrio for this! He and his unbelievably addictive comic, Charcole (check it out at http://charcole.kyrio.net/ and give this guy watches and favorites because his work is amazing) pretty much made it inevitable that I'd want to do the charmander thing for awhile.
Charcole is a comic about a human turning into a charmander, which isn't surprising. HOWEVER, this particular time it doesn't take place in the Mystery Dungeon world. And to doesn't happen in OUR world, either. Rather, Cole becomes a charmander in the world of Pokemon trainers and is unwittingly captured by a neophyte trainer with delusions of grandeur. What happens from there becomes a breakneck tale involving identity, family, determination (not that kind), and making sense out of the twists and turns we take in life.
Cole's identity crisis is really at the heart of the story, and it makes for a compelling and exciting read you will NEVER forget.
Suppose Kyrio in all of his endeavors and enjoy what I consider possibly to be the single best-crafted Pokemon comic ever made. (And I do NOT say that lightly.)

I know most of you probably won't remember Blaze the black dragon. Well, she's back, in a more... compact form? I know, a charmander named Blaze is a bit cliche, but she was named Blaze before this even happened!
Let's just say the issues with self-identity sparked something inside of me that hasn't been ignited in a long time. WE'll say... it reignited the Blaze within me. =)

If you really like his story about a human turned Pokémon and working with a trainer, how about the story Pokémon: Storm Clouds? It's main story is completed even though it's sequel is put on hold. It's about a girl and a boy she has a crush on being sent to the Pokémon world, except she got turned into an Eevee while he remains a human.
