Kuel is a human soldier from a reality where Mankind is warring with a cat-like species known as the Adjiri over territory. The collective human military is known as the Froeknights,and it is 9 armies, with 12 squads of 2-3 hundred soldiers (each with a canine partner). He eventually becomes involved with an injured female Adjiri that had been tortured by members of his own squad, causing him to rescue her and defect.
