Artwork for my local little con: Gateway Fur Meet! It's a St. Louis con so our mascot is, of course, a Clydesdale! The theme this year is the 40's so I went ahead and did something along the lines of a "Men's Adventure Magazine", which were popular in that era and into the 50's. Usually they involved strapping men rescuing buxom women from deranged animals or minorities (it was a different time) but a) they only paid for one character; b) a furry character beating the shit out of an otter or ethnic stereotype looks questionable and c) I doubt the hotel wants artwork of a horse man being devoured by giant moths or some other horrible thing potentially plastered all over. So burning down the jungle it is, though it gives it a Vietnam feel, despite the WWII era carbine. I may be adding some of my dumb magazine text as well!
