lolz well there is always that should my vests not help me. And by certain mountain species i mean that i have played a few games where i live in a mountain and end up accidentally coming across species where if you dont have what they want/demand then they take you prisoner prey to whatever they wish to do to you. lol why do ya ask? Are there those kinds in this?
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this turns out, Min! ^^ I'm also glad you didn't spend $60 on the software-although I am impressed with the sprites and such, that seems a bit excessive.
Of course, I'm really eager to hear more about the setting, like the back-stories for the races for the races that you posted. Those were very cool to read. I've also seen the .pdf up on your site, so I really hope we get to see something like that for the other races as well.
In the meantime, if you don't mind us asking questions about the map: you said 14 continents, are you counting the other landmasses in this image or is the finished map going to be really freaking huge? Also, a lot of fantasy stories uses analogues of real locations in their settings, e.g. one country will be like England, one like Germany, and etc. Do you plan on using any inspirations from real-life for details?
Also...well, one of the locations here is the Lost Temple of Tiamat (by the way, I think for proper cartography you shouldn't use articles like "the" or "a" in the names, and all the first letters should be capitalized [Dominen ruins needs a capital R, brandis needs a capital B]). I'm sort of a fan of Dungeons and Dragons...although the original Babylonia mythology does really give a clear depiction of Tiamat's appearance, since D&D used the multi-headed dragon form it's become pretty popular and I was wondering if you used her in the setting how you were planning to depict her. Personally I think it would be cool to see how you would do a big dragon-deity like that.
Anyways, it's great to see your work again! I'm glad you're still doing this because I think it's a really awesome project. Good luck with everything! ^^

to answer your first question: I plan on fleshing out the past of each race in EXCRUCIATING detail. it's a bit difficult to make them all unique though x3 so it'll take a while
and I AM going to fill out each continent, but I'm not going to be referencing many of the known world's continents for stuff. there'll be little references, but not many huge ones. I want my land to be unique.
I figured I'd call it "THE lost temple of tiamat" because it's the only one that's lost x3 and probobly the only one in existence on that continent. um... dunno much about cartography, so I appreciate the comments, but 'm not sure >.>
Tiamat in my game is gonna be a little different than other games, and even the babylonian one. She's the mother of all dragons, so she's neutral, but beyond that, I've got nothing x3

I think it's fantastic that you've come up with a unique twist for Tiamat. I wasn't even thinking of something that cool, but now I'm really eager to see how you do the mother of all dragons.
And I am looking forward to hearing more about the races, but that's definitely something you should take your time on. You actually did a great job coming up with a lot of varied ones and I think that's really cool but it does mean writing for each of them is going to be a lot of work. Good luck with it, though, I hope everything goes well for you! ^^

So what is the RPG you are making this for? I happen to be an RPG nut myself, and I have even made my own maps. None like this though. this looks like something you'd find as a poster in a video game. even though it is not complete yet, it looks pretty good. I usually make mine in photoshop after hours of Land building and photoshop manipulation. this has inspired me to make another...
thanks :D
Photoshop doesn't work for me as far as maps go >.<; I'm not NEARLY patient enough. but it's Wayfarer
