Oh yeah, they have so many humanlike mannerisms! I mean, their leg bone looks like a human leg, just with claws. It's uncanny.
I didn't work with the bears personally, but I helped clean their enclosures once or twice and I did presentation on them all the time. They're great!

Well, they are super super strong and even though they look slow, they can outrun a horse in short bursts of speed. Most of the black bear's diet consists of vegetation and very little animal matter. The majority of animal matter in a BB's diet is insects and invertebrates. Occasionally they will take down larger prey and scavenge if given the opportunity. Even though they are called black bears, they have a huuuuuuge range of colors, including tan, cinnamon, brown, grayish and in some cases, white. White bears are found in British Columbia and are referred to as Kermode bears.
