Here's my collection of both the '87-'96 TMNT series and the 2003 series as it is now. At this time i have season 1-3 in the original volume releases plus seasons 5, 6, and 10 of the original show and one DVD of the 2k3 version, now i only need seasons 4 and 7 and the two remaining "Red Sky" seasons. The 2003 series on the other hand is going to be harder to collect for. This is due to some of the releases being long out of print with others being insanely expensive including the second Season 2 volume and the Ninja Tribunal disc.
One thing is for sure, i'll have an easier time getting the rest of the original series.

That refers to the tail end of the series, when the show was changed to be darker with more emphasis on action. It also is due to the sky's color changing to red in that part of the show hence the term "Red Sky" seasons.
In short, this is when the series went from being comedic to more dark and gritty.
