You know race car drivers? They drive to race, to win. And sometimes when they want a break, they take their not-necessarily-fastest-best car, and have fun throwing it around their favorite track.
This technical dragon was exactly like that, just fun throwing my pen and skillz around a spare paper track. Started nearly two years ago, I never thought I'd finish it--I was doodling it originally in ballpoint pen in an embassy to pass the time--don't ask, don't ask-- and then taken home, and pretty much forgotten. Every now and then I'd see this thing and haaate how it looked half-finished, but never did anything about it till the past few weeks. This dragon might look pissed to hell, but it is no reflection at all upon my current emotions or mental state. I had fun not having to invest emotional energy this time, in somethinng that looks modrerately bad@$$ and ANGRY. Rah ;) Most of this was inked out with a ultrafine point pen that I was trying to empty with this pic... but failed.... the ink just won't run out! @___@ Scanned in color, even though it's black on white. Having color information in it DOES make a perceptual difference.
Enjoy, use it as a desktop if you want. Just lemme know if you do, I'd love to see a screenshawt.
Yeah he's scratchy. That's what throwing a car (or a pen) around is like. You don't do it for the best time, you do it to DO it, and have fun while you're at it. I'm glad I could turn a poor doodle into a passable composition.

And hey, does anyone care about these stories that I always put up with every pic?
