I can't afford another one yet, nor have a place to put another one. The other half of my books are scattered around my room. X3

hehe, sounds about right :) i had to give most of mine up lately in terms of moving around the country so often. Still kept a few favorites though!

between digital copies now, i still have many of them, but i kept my hardcover first-print set of the Inheritence Cycle :P

again, i can barely afford to keep the stuff i have now. even selling my desktop. I agree, i would rather have books, even paperbacks, bu ttracing some of the ones i had in my childhood cant be done.

Oh, that makes sense. Sorry that you have to sell all those things. And that is true. Personally, I'm going to try to keep as many of my books as I can, no matter what.

much agreed :P though there were some instances where it was entirely otu of my control.. like when grandmother's books got garage saled, after she spent years collecting them, lik ehow she had the entire Boxcar Children set :P

Awwww, man, that sucks. >.< Although I can't say I've read the Boxcar Children, or at least I don't remember reading it. I kinda just shot to the higher levels of reading as soon as I started, which was before I could walk. :/

similar here. i was reading 12th grade+ in 4th grade, teachers kept trying to advance me, parents said no :P childhood was spent mostly taking care of younger siblings while mother went back to college

Same. I passed the college reading level in 3rd grade, and was sent to the principal every single year of school until high school for reading in class, but never got in trouble for it, since it was always either high school or college level books. X3 They just put me in the back of the class. And that sounds kinda like me. I have a younger sister who I had to take care of half the time, since my dad was never at home and my mom was always too busy going out with other guys while my dad was away.

my family wasnt that messy, but three younger siblings, and pet cats :-P

Ah. X3 Yeah, all I had was the younger sister and a cat which we wanted to be a dog, but was the equivalent nonetheless, seeing as she was about 22 lbs. XD

Look, it reminds me of my own library... Except that I don't have any library and my dozens of books are stored in cardboard boxes or scattered around the house :/

But at least you have the boxes to store yours. XD I don't have any suitable containers for the rest of my books.

boxes are a nightmare when you want to find back a book and have to take them out carefull to not ruin any of them xP

Have you thought to replace the library with wall shelves instead? You could gain a lot more space in that same spot ;)

Eh, that is true. And I've given that idea some thought, but then I remembered I'm broke because I buy too many books when I get money. XD
