Indeed ^^ this is one of those ideas thats been floating round my head for a while now XD It started as a digging up a bone causing tf lol but lets face it, thats been done a fair few times so while I doubt this idea is new I felt it was a less explored idea ^^ as far as ive seen at least x3
An interesting concept, though preventing the extinction of dinosaurs wouldn't change the future, rather create an alternate future in which dinosaurs aren't extinct while the one where they are exists alongside it. You may have seen this in back to the future part II. Yeah, sorry, major time travel nerd here.
Lol x3 well as it happend I expected a comment like this XD an while yes you are right this is jus a pic for fun ^^ I played around with the idea a bit :3 for e.g in the deeper side of this story the pocket watch is infact a very very powerful and magical artifact, you could even say it corrects paradoxes, in this case it transforms the user into a more fitting form for the new timeline in which he will return too :3
I actually saw a movie that had this concept. But the future didn't change all at once. It happened in time waves. So, a wave would hit and the change would catch up to the present. The baboons in the movie became some weird reptilian hybrid, and at the end (just before things get fixed), it shows the humans as some sort of aquatic mammal. Heck if I can remember the name of the movie, but at the beginning, there was the concept of going back in time and hunting dinosaurs just before they go extinct so that nothing changes. But something goes wrong, as always.
