Corebook artwork for Endless Realms, a D&D-like "pen and paper" fantasy RPG I'm working for.
Four types of magic - the cosmic forces of Order and Chaos, Spirit magic drawn upon immortal spirits that dwell in the world, and the power of Life and Death, Animus.

*chuckles* Maybe the dancer uses fan-weapons like shields, sort of like bucklers almost? But yeah, I'm probably more of an Order person, myself, but that just means trying something opposite of my real life self could be fun :3
But yeah, Order magic doesn't necessarily involve shields, I just thought it was a suiting symbol - whereas chaos is often about change, order is often about preservation/stability, which is what the shield is really supposed to sort of symbolize.

As far as I know, chaos magic works by essentially drawing power from one's raw emotions to evoke power that would otherwise be impossible. It's free-flowing and highly creative and spontaneous, supposedly limited only by one's imagination.
In-game, though? I'm not sure, just sort of know the general flavour/gist of each type, mostly :)
