Can you actually ride around on them
that's been my question since I got my first MH game I actually swear I read something about mounts

In this game, not only will they fight by your side, but you'll be able to ride them on the overworld (Some areas are only accessible this way) and if they like you enough you can perform a powerful attack unique to that monster in battle.

Tigrex can climb walls, Rathalos flies you around, Kut-ku was shown smashing boulders, and Royal Ludroth can ferry you across water. There's probably lots more than that, but from what we've seen so far ^^

I'm actually going to watch an anime, I can't believe.

I was wondering when MH was going to get an anime about it, and it's interesting they picked this newly created spinoff for it over the main series (Or even Felyne Village). To be honest, that actually gives me some hope that they have long term plans for the Stories spinoff, maybe even becoming its own side series. Like the Chocobo Tales is to Final Fantasy or the Monsters series is to DragonQuest.

I'd heard in several sources that the anime had plans for going overseas after it launches, assuming that's true then that might also mean that the game itself may come over too 8D
But that's just speculation at this point xvx

That's actually something that hasn't occurred to me, is how the change in mechanics will affect the weapons and which ones will be included, since its turn-taking and not realtime anymore.

Papu is severely underappreciated (much like a lot of other Frontier exclusive monsters). I imagine it could be really fun riding Shantien or Hypnoc, too

I figure if he wasn't an exclusive he'd be liked a lot more. It's hard to fully appreciate something when you can only see art/videos of it, and even harder when you likely haven't even heard of the creature before. He really does look pretty cute, like a hungrier amphibious tigrex almost, and his fight has that little thing where you actually feed him meat xD So silly.

That's probably Velocidrome, the blue raptor thing.

There is a screenshot of a character using a Jaggi SnS, but that doesn't necessarily mean that G.jaggi himself is in - nor that he'd be tameable.
