There's a Fox Dye joke somewhere in here, but that'd just be too video gamey.
I'll take the higher road and instead mention that they didn't include gas masks into Fallout 3, because they were glitchy. I think that our wasteland wander here found that out.
Poor guy should have taken some Rad X, it might have helped... but probably not.

Yes it does get that high. u have to constantly go to your pip-boy every second and take enough radaway in order to get it to zero. u have to do that about 15 times just to get the Vault "discovered" on your pip-boy. Also, if u go into the vault entrance, ull discover that Bethesda didn't even bother to put the entrance in the game: ull instead find urself looking at a blank space in the game world, and if u enter it, it teleports u to the entrance of Fawkes' room.
