Well Jasmine, thank your lucky stars your not in Israel, cuz both men _and_ women are drafted at the age of 18. Your living in the U.S., only men have to sign up for the selective services. Luckily, we have enough people volunteering to sign up for the military that the nation does not have to call a draft and ruin many peoples lives. For many people, the military can be a career that they enjoy, some people actually retire after 20 some odd years. The army was started by General Washington, and is important for our nations history. In short, the army, and those who join, are not idiots, they're doing the nation a favor for crying out loud! And DONT CALL ME AN IDIOT! *fuming*. K, I'll stop ranting now ~5/6/2002
