Tanaka's from a more northern tribe of raptorfolk that are active primarily at night to avoid the attentions of Allosaurus and other large diurnal predators. As such they have larger eyes and a coat of fine feathers, which becomes more pronounced at the tip of the tail and around the joints. Their kill-claws are smaller and so they are more apt to hunt with manufactured weapons, like his obsidian spear.
