Jahrd Ardeana, the main character of Prophecy of the Circle. He’s a half-Tarsin, half-Tieke tikedi, born and raised in the Tarsin desert, and driven to pursue something that no one else of his species has ever successfully done: make sense of and make contact with the tekk, the sentient flying beasts that live in the forests of the Crater. The two species are joined by old prophecies handed down from an unidentifiable source, but their physical inability to speak one another’s language and their wildly different ways of life have always kept them from bridging the gap.
