I'm going out on a limb here in saying this girl is probably binding her chest. A lot of characters do that, mainly ones of the more butch/bisexual/lesbian persuasion, though that's probably another limb all itself

I think I remember that movie! It was very good- and to be honest- that is the exact reason. Some girls bind their chest to give themselves a more masculine apperance. You'd be surprised at the amount of people I've seen doing that- including myself at a few points x3 It's just a way of almost rebelling against your figure. They feel more masculine inside, so they bind themselves to try and portray it physically. It's usually accompanied by baggier clothes or a slimmer hair cut.

Also- Sometimes they just like the feeling of a wrap around yoru chest- it feels a lot like a corset, snuggly x3 Though perpetually difficult to breath xD <3
