I've been practicing watercolors over prismas for this piece... but it's slow going so I figured I'd post the inks as an update.
Anyone have any advice for me on making the water look realistic around the figure? I'm having a hell of a time and I don't want to screw up on the image itself.
Anyone have any links to images that did pull this off well? I have the one by Seely, but that's it.
Thanks in advance for any help!

first of all, nice pose and beautiful curves. I like her face, too. I would have had her hair to flow more with the water, but that's all.
pulled it off good? can't say that. I have an idea how it should look like, but have yet to find a way to bring it to paper.
depending on how deep and clear the water is, all colours go blue towards the deeper layers of water. depending on the angle the water surface works like a mirror. in this case, though, I guess you would see the light sky through the water where the surface waves point an even surface towards the viewer, the rest would reflect the colours below.
it's hard to explain, especially in a foreign langauge. try to watch a documentary about cliff diving if you can, it would be the right depth of water and angle.
