they did in concept art, but they didn't go for it at the studio; keep in mind no one had any idea the show would go viral, so they were heavily focused on the budget.

Yeah, budget tends to be the enemy of body shapes, doesn't it? Rayman Origins and Legends are a good example of this.

See, you might notice how most of the palette swaps in those games are treated as separate characters, especially in Legends? Not to mention the Nymphs look alike. In the Nymphs' case, it's justified in that they're all sisters, but then you've got Barbara and the rest of the princesses in Legends. They come in pairs, and those pairs are sisters, but only those pairs are related to each other. For example, Barbara is Elysia's sister, but not Estelia's. And yet, they all look alike.

Sadly, they had to be more focused on the game than on how the characters looked, so that's where the majority of the budget went. Better to have a game that you can actually PLAY, amirite fam?

Please note that I'm not bashing on these games or the characters; I love 'em all. : > It's just a shame that money is NOT an infinite resource, no matter how rich you are. : (

I'm honestly curious as to what your take on Pinkamena would be. Not in pony form, mind you, but in humanoid form; you've done that for the other characters, after all, and for Pinkie as her default, cheerful self. :D

Humanoids with pony hooves for feet... Kinda sounds like very early depictions of the satyr (before they became synonymous with Fauns), only they had horse legs instead (which is close enough).

Yeah I like the idea of Pinkie being a plush slash chubby pony. Girl should look like she eats well, but still isn't you know fat cause she is so active.
