Dell looked at the tiny jug-shaped potion and tried to get a sense for the contents of the green potion inside. Seeing this this was getting him nowhere, he popped the cork and took a swig before replacing it and setting the bottle down.
He didn't have to wait long before he started feeling different. In fact, his body and brain went through a tremendous alteration as he suddenly lost the knowledge of how to balance on his legs. Collapsing on the floor, Dell's thoughts scrambled around to try to figure out what had happened. But try as he might, his mind would no longer recognize the legs he had lived his entire life using.
However, new muscle memories and understandings came flooding into his mind. The sensation was every bit as confusing as his old reflexes disappearing.
As this happened, his body shook and writhed, filled all over with an overwhelming, burning sensation. It wasn't painful per se, but it seemed to swallow his mind through sheer intensity so for a brief moment he could think of nothing else. His vision flashed white, forcing him to clamp his eyes shut. His body felt hard and tingly. Through every single sense in his body, he experienced an explosion of sensation.
...Finally it stopped. The old knowledge of the old body had completely fled. All of the new reflexes and instincts were in place. Dell understood what her body looked like before she even opened up her eyes. She got a brief sensation of her surroundings by a quick tongue flick or two, and she knew instantly how to be a snake.
She remembered her old self. She had all of her memories of her past experiences. What she DIDN'T remember was how to BE that old self again. In a completely surreal moment, she thought about having legs and the idea seemed... STRANGE to her! She'd had legs for so long, but now the very concept of balancing on those spindly things seemed just weird.
She stood up on he muscular tail and examined her whole frame. This was different to her. So very different. And yet... she now felt completely at home. She was a snake girl.

FINALLY. It's taken me AGES to get a lamia/snake/naga I'm completely satisfied with, be it anthro or feral. And this one turned out much better than I'd hoped.
I once again ran into the timeless issue for me before starting this; where I get very scared before I begin drawing and my brain locks up when searching for ideas. but once I buckled down and got to work, it went great.
Here's hoping I can keep up my momentum!
