This is my main truck. My favorite truck. My newest truck. my baby. Sadly that dent you see was a glorious gift from a Baton Rouge area Classic BMW Driver who decided to PITT Maneuver me into a tree at the Mall of Louisiana. Then ran off. By the way if this happens to reach the driver that caused this, you owe me MINIMUM $5,000 for repairs.
Anyways, this is my Avalanche. Her name is Kathrine. In 2009-before I bought her- someone had replaced a lot of parts on her. Including the engine, transmission, dash panels, and ash tray. I bought her with just a little over 149,000 miles for $10,900 in Clarksville, TN. That was in February of 2011. The interior looks brand new. it could have been replaced in 2009 when they dropped a new motor in, but who knows. Only problems she has are due to the BMW jerk. She's at 207,000 miles right now. Oh the new motor is a 6.0 Chevrolet V8 Vortec.
Damage is all in the Unibody, luckily no frame damage. Easiest fix is to put a new Avalanche body on the chassies, I think. Anyone know cheap body shops that could do a cab-swap?

Sentimental Value is the most expencive thing on a vehical. Plus insurance won't cover anything. At all, not even to total it out. i don't know why, some BS they claim its fraud because there was no other vehical involved officially or some such. And yes, the rich-b---well right little bugger that was in a classic 2-door BMW can afford to give me that. He was a teenager (so it was mommy/daddy's money anyways) and looked scared as hell when my truck went sideways. Hell my truck even tore out of the ditch after him but a banged in 7,000 pound truck verses a 5,000ish pound 2 door sports coupe on dry paved roads? yeah no, I wasn't catching him. Otherwise I'd have taken the cost of repairs out of his face...
Its because I live in Baton Rouge. This is hands down the WORST city I have ever lived as far as vehicular maintenance goes. Drivers are the worst, Insurance costs are MURDER, and the climate generates mold and rust. I can't wait to move in with my fionce. Similar climate but out in the woods where there isn't apartment managers who are looking to tow my cars, a small town where there isn't so many people it takes 1 hour to do a 9 mile drive, and I can have time to maintain the trucks the way I need.
