"Saurian" is the title, and also the name of the world in which it takes place.
The main characters Nomminus and Khaz are an unlikely duo, she's an adventurer, always on the move and prefers a solitary life. He is a bright-eyed and excitable kid who ends up tagging along with her on her adventures due to unfortunate circumstances.
They will learn to work together as they deal with whatever dangers or challenges they might face while wandering the world.

A few more weeks had passed, now feeling more like themselves, a decision was made to part ways. Pilu was to return home and Khaz was going with her. Nomminus felt there was more to explore, so she planned to stay.
The day of their departure was clear and sunny, though despite the cheery weather, a sadness was felt. Nomminus helped load up their boat with supplies and treasures collected. “I’m sure we’ll see each other again, so perhaps a goodbye isn’t needed.” She said, it was hard to see them go, to see him go. While she was eager to continue exploring, it certainly won’t feel the same without Khaz by her side.
She could feel the sting of tears beginning to form as the last of supplies was loaded into the boat.
Khaz noticed and smiled thoughtfully as he approached her, “See you later would do I’m sure.”
They hugged each other tight in a long embrace.
“Thank you for everything, Nommy.” Khaz said, trying his best to hold back his own tears. He could barely remember the life he had before setting off on adventure with her, all the past years were wild and amazing, if given the chance to do it all over again he absolutely would, and wouldn’t change a thing.
Their hug ended eventually, and with farewells said, Khaz began pushing the boat out into the water.
It was Pilu’s turn to get a hug, not as long, but still meaningful.
“Promise me you’ll keep an eye on him, hmm? Don’t let him get into too much trouble.” Nomminus said with a laugh, “and say hello to your dad for me?”
Pilu smiled. “I promise.” Their hug ended and with more farewells, Pilu went to the boat, helping Khaz shove off and they both hopped in and sailed off back to home.
Nomminus stayed on the beach until they were out of view, then returned to the settlement.
Somehow it had been mysteriously repaired over night, on her way back, she noticed the wizard standing nearby. “I have a feeling I should be thanking you?” She called out to him.
The wizard laughed and approached Nomminus. “For the settlement being repaired, yes. For your fight with the dragon, no, you three had it in you all along to kill him, I just gave you a little push, it was rewarding enough to see him brought to his end.”
Nomminus nodded. “Then, thank you, for the settlement at least, should I buy you a drink?”
The wizard shook his head. “No, that is quite alright, but I do appreciate the offer, I do have one last thing to say, before I go. Nomminus, I must warn you that your boy is headed down a dark path by returning home, his…story, will find its ending, but at a price.”
Nomminus couldn’t help but worry, she took a deep breath. “He needs to know, after all he’s been through, he deserves to know. He’s a good kid, I’m sure he’ll be able to handle knowing why his parents were killed, whatever this price to pay is, I pray neither him nor Pilu have to pay it.”
They both nod to each other and begin to part ways, when the wizard stops and turns back. "Nomminus...I've just remembered, I still have much to do here, lots of it requires a good deal of adventuring into dangerous situations. You wouldn't perhaps be interested in joining me?"

Nomminus turned towards the wizard and grinned. "Where to first?"
