I've never quite drawn anything like this before. It impressed me beyond my expectations.
I drew the top image so to show more of the dogs' physiques, and then segued with the kissing image in front of the fireplace below.

I am glad that you enjoy it. It does look like something from a classic, well-animated hand-drawn animated movie or series from the 1980s-90s, due to the detailed work and mature spirit. I'm very proud of doing this brief romance themed comic. All the effects and coloring, shadows and highlighting are all done manually in acrylic paints; no digital trickery. Similarly the pencilwork and inks were done with an actual pencil and pen. The use of lights and shadows to convey the tone and the mood of the romantic scene is indeed based on those classic 80s-90 Western animations and anime, as well as some inspiration from live action movies and old classical paintings.
