Here's another new species of mine, the dazelles! I'm hoping to release more dazelles with time, I really like how they turned out. uvu
Dazelles are a wordplay of "dazzle" and "gazelle", for their striking color schemes and elegant, graceful form similar to a gazelle. Biologically speaking they are actually closer to foxes, though.
Their looks are everything to a dazelle, as they spend many hours a day grooming themselves even if only for a brief appearance in public. Since they are so picky about their appearance they often do not want to be touched by others. If a dazelle is seen touching and grooming another, then it is a sign of deep, mutual fondness and trust. Dazelles can be rather difficult for an outsider to tell the females and males apart as they all look relatively androgynous, though a dazelle can easily tell each other apart both by scent and voice, as well as commonly overlooked details such as their gait, posture, intonation in speech, diet and grooming technique.
They have glistening, iridescent quills on their backs that fan outwards when they are showing off, not to be confused with wings as dazelles are flightless. They have a distinct marking on their coats in the shape of a heart, with some variations appearing like a broken heart. A broken heart marking is a little more uncommon than a full heart. Dazelles do not hold either marking in higher regard than the other though.
*NEW HEART VARIATIONS*
Heartless: Dazelles born without a heart marking on their chest tend to have cold or aloof personalities, and are stereotyped as such. Not all of the heartless ones are like that, but most assume them to be unfriendly if they notice the absence of a heart marking, much to the annoyance of some.
Inset Heart: Another uncommon heart variation. Dazelles with inset hearts tend to be very athletically inclined. Sports they tend to lean towards include gymnastics, parkour, racing, and dance.
- they are $25 USD EACH. Once they are sold they are no longer available
- first come, first serve, there is no deadline for this sale
- please do not claim one if you are not able to pay me immediately for it, get the money first THEN claim it
- I cannot reserve any adopts in order to be fair to everyone
- once you own the adopts, you can change their gender, hairstyle and anything you want to make the design your own! For an original species, you can decide their gender and change up their hairstyle or make small color changes, but you cannot redesign it to look like someone else's or add more to the design other than designing clothes for it. (adding physical deformities like amputation, scars or things like it being blind are fine)
- you may NOT make bases out of them or otherwise mass-produce and sell them
- I can only accept money through paypal
- once you have paid I will provide you with a watermark-free larger version of your new design, feel free to post it wherever you want (credit is optional but appreciated)
- Say DAZZLED in your comment so I know you've read the rules!
