Oh man oh man oh man
So I've been working on this design secretly for a good minute and posted a mini wip on instagram, where it got a ton of likes (which blew my mind)! And FINALLY I am done with it and I can share it and I'm so excited guys, let me tell you~!
This originally started out as a half finished scribble. I kid you not! I kind of just ran the pencil around in different directions with no real idea of what would come out after I'd drawn the nose and eyes. And then when I started to refine the lines, this critter took shape and I LOVE IT HNNNNNG!!! Working so loosely in the beginning stages of this piece really made it so refreshing for me and also turned out pretty awesome, I'm thinking of trying it again to see what happens~
SO! Recently I've been going back through some of my older work while I build up a new portfolio and I realize I really miss working with symmetrical elements in my art. I've really made a name with my style (to me anyway), I adore textures and flat colors, symbolism, and contrast. I haven't been doing a lot of art recently due to other things in life, but I'm finally able to get a chance to semi-art again and its pretty frickin' great lemme tell you what~ <333
More than anything now I want to explore a lot more the themes and things I didn't really let myself draw because it didn't seem like things I'd do or others could appreciate. The newer art that will be coming from me will be a little different from the things everyone is used to seeing, but not so different as to make people's heads spin lol. The art that I'm hoping to do from this point will be everything I want it to be and more, to better my skills and technique, and to more importantly love what I do regardless of if its well received or not. I'm not going to stagnate like I have been because of the things going on in and out of my control. I'm going to hold onto the reigns and see where this new direction takes me!
Get ready for a Hell of a ride~ ;D
