This is a commission I did for Calpain It is of an anthropomorphic version Sapphire Joule. I sketched it out today because my shoulder is a bit too cranky to allow heavy studio work so I am taking care of some lighter load art items today.

Wouldn't metal piercings get really uncomfortably cold from the wind chill factor while flying? It's not like the fur can protect against the cold transmitted by metal in direct contact with the flesh...
That little detail still bothers me from Baron's Equestria Dreamscape when he had pegasi signal marriage by a metal ear piercings. I realize that the Dreamscape represents a "what I dreamed" situation rather than conscious, rational thought out scenarios, but it still struck me as odd.
