Been working on a setting for a story recently and finally got to it being developed enough for me to start doing the artistic end of the design work.

This is the first attempt at a character design in with approximately the look I wanna use.

Her name is Zara, and she comes from Peru. She's got a bit of a mixed upbringing though due to the fact she lives in a city that was thrown together by the U.N. for research. Her mother is a botanist and works on research and helping maintain the independent food supply the city needs to remain the secret it is.

Zara likes to mix it up a bit by creating looks similar to her original part of the world with clothing from all over the world. I'm thinking she'll be either ten or eleven years old.

That's a toothpick poking out her mouth. I don't think I quite got that detail looking right in this quick sketch.
