This cheat sheet covers most of the fundamentals regarding digital images, especially as they apply to the world of print and how it differs from the Web. It is based on my two decades of experience as a publishing professional and the pitfalls I’ve experienced, directly or at second hand, when working with images supplied by clients unfamiliar with the needs of print publishing or by artists working exclusively in the Web-only environment. Included among the information are the lesson in resolution and the lesson in file format I posted previously in this gallery.
