The eyes are made out of a stainless steel perforated mesh. They were then painted with white spray paint on front, and black on the back. The pupils and irises are painted with Createx airbrush paint (using a plain brush).

The stainless steel perforated mesh was from amazon.com. I'd recommend 304 Stainless Steel Perforated Sheet .024" (24 ga.) x 12" x 12" - .045" Holes - .088" Stagger. That particular mesh provides exceptional visibility and still looks ok. Make sure you clean it with rubbing alcohol before painting it.
I cut the mesh with tin snips, then smoothed the edges with the grinder. Last I ran it through a brush to remove the burrs.
The mesh is thin enough that you can bend it into an eye shape by flexing it with you hands.
Make sure you put hot glue around all the edges so that if you have an accident in the suit it doesn't cut you. Make the eyes way bigger than you think - a lot of it gets covered by foam and fur.
Most people use buckram fabric in their eyes - you can find eye kits at:

Good luck on your suit! That's fantastic that you are going to try and do one yourself.
